The obverse depicted a wreath of ears of corn, roses and laurel twigs tied with a ribbon in the middle. In the center of the coin is the nominal value of  50 leva and below is the year of issue - 1943.

The reverse side depicted bust of the tsar Boris III. Under the bust has an inscription “L. Beran”and letter “A”.  In the outer circle of the coin has an inscription “Boris III tsar of Bulgaria”.
