The obverse depicted two columns in the medieval Bulgarian style. In the center of each column has a lion. Between the two columns is the nominal value of 2 leva. Above has an inscription “Peoples Republic of Bulgaria”.
The reverse side depicted figure of St. Kliment Ohridski, holding book in his left hand, with right hand blessing. On both sides has an inscription “Kliment 916” and “Ohridski 1966”.
