The obverse is the emblem of the BNB and the year of her establishment - 1879. Above the emblem of the BNB is depicted the cover of the first transcript of “Slavo-Bulgarian History”. In the circle are inscribed “Bulgarian National Bank” and the year of issue - 2012 and the nominal value of 10 levs.
The reverse side depicts part of text of “Slavo-Bulgarian History”, signature and stamp of its author Paisy Hilendarski. In the outer circle of the coin has an inscription “250 Years of Slavo-Bulgarian History”.
Authors of design are Elena Todorova and Todor Todorov.
