The obverse is the emblem of the BNB and the year of her establishment - 1879. In the circle are inscribed “Bulgarian National Bank”” and the year of issue - 2003 and the nominal value of 20 leva.
The reverse side depicted The Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ.
