The obverse is the emblem of the BNB and the year of her establishment - 1879. In the circle are inscribed “Bulgarian National Bank”” and the year of issue - 2004 and the nominal value of 5 leva.
The reverse side depicted branch. On the both sides of the coin are depict flowers painted in blue, yellow and red. In the middle of the coin has the inscription "Palm Sunday".
