The obverse depicted wreath of roses tied with a ribbon in the middle. In the center of the coin is the nominal value of 1 000 leva and below the year of issue 1995. Above them has the inscription "Republic of Bulgaria.
The reverse depicted jockey riding a leaping horse. Under the horses head are the logos of IOC and BOC. In the outer circle of the coin has an inscription “100 years Olympics games - 1996”.
