The obverse depicted wreath of roses tied with a ribbon in the middle. In the center of the coin is the nominal value of 1 000 leva and below the year of issue 1995. Above them has the inscription "Republic of Bulgaria.
The reverse depicted a wheat ear against the background of the globe. In the outer circle of the coin has an inscription “50 years food and agriculture organization of the UN 1945-1995”.
